Boktai's soundtrack was composed by Kazuki Muraoka, Masashi Watanabe, Norihiko Hibino, and Shuichi Kobori.

The first game's soundtrack helps set its dark, gothic tone. The tracks are a little more generally mysterious and adventurous than its sequels, and is not yet shot through with the Spaghetti Western motifs that come to define the series.

Boktai Sound Rare Tracks: East of the Sun & West of the Moon was a limited-release soundtrack given out with early pre-orders of Boktai DS in Japan.

It contains previously unreleased orchestral versions of title tracks and other music from all 4 Boktai games.
